The electrification of the automobile isn't going to stop. Powered by stricter EU regulations, low emissions zones in different cities and the ban of internal combustion engines in the future.

The smart mobility research group has developed a test cycle, to give a clear image what an electric vehicle is and isn't able to do. The available electrical vehicles are submitted to a series of tests, to determine the physical properties. This contains diverse road and lab tests. Using data logging diverse parameters are taken into account to determine the consumption and power of the different vehicles. All data that are used for this website are obtained using these tests.

The research group 'smart mobility' has it roots in different expertise fields of the VIVES university such as networks in vehicles, the Low profile expertise center and the PWO electric vehicles.
